Due to continued growth, we are seeking a passionate GP Nurse to join our practice of closely-knit, friendly and supportive staff and independent GPs on a Casual or Part-time basis.
You will have a strong focus on high quality care and be an integral part of our friendly and dynamic team who enjoy high quality customer service. The candidate must have excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Duties covering all aspects of General Practice Nursing, including:
- Managing phone call triage and booking patient appointments
- Immunisations, blood collection, swab sample collection
- Wound care and management
- ECGs and spirometry
- Iron infusions and intravenous therapy
- Assisting GPs with minor procedures
- Managing recall and reminder systems
- Chronic disease management plans and health assessments
- Health promotions and patient education
- Control and management of supplies and consumables and stocking of rooms
- Infection control and cold chain management
- Holter Monitor and ABPM Device fittings
- Assisting with Accreditation RACGP Current Standards
- Uploading and updating MyHealth and MyMedicare Records
The successful applicant must have the following key attributes:
- Friendly, caring, and compassionate with a professional attitude
- Confident and excellent verbal and written communication skills and phone manner with people of diverse backgrounds including patients, doctors and other health professionals
- Proactive, ability to prioritise tasks and to work autonomously, under pressure, in a busy environment as a practice nurse
- Provide attention to detail and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to triage
- Knowledge of MBS billings is an advantage but not essential
- Adaptable, flexible and positive minded
- Proactive and productive with ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook

- AHPRA Registration
- Medical Indemnity
- National Police Check
- CPR & First Aid Training
- Working with Children Check
For immediate start, experience in a medical practice as a GP Practice Nurse is desirable but not essential. Registered and Enrolled Nurses are all encouraged to apply.
